The Qur’an highlights the grapevine and its fruit in various contexts, emphasizing themes of sustenance, reward, and divine blessings. Below are the verses that mention grapes, along with translations and personal insights on their significance.

1. Surah Al-An'am (6:99)

English Translation:

"And He is the One who sends down rain from the sky, then with it We produce all kinds of plants, then We bring forth green stalks from which We produce thick-clustered grain. And from the date palm come clusters hanging low. And gardens of grapevines, olives, and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at their fruit when they bear fruit and ripen. Indeed, in these are signs for people who believe."(Surah Al-An'am, 6:99)

Significance:

Here, the grapevine represents sustenance and Allah’s capacity to bring forth life. The imagery of grapes ripening invites reflection on Allah’s generosity and power to transform something as basic as water into rich, nourishing fruits. Grapes, alongside olives and pomegranates, signify the beauty and bounty of creation.

2. Surah Al-An'am (6:141)
